Many people all around the world are now choosing to take responsibility for their health and well-being. This has led to a renewed interest in holistic methods and prevention. Colon Hydrotherapy is one of those methods. We believe that in today's toxic world it is important to keep the colon (sewage system of the body) as clean as possible.
What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon Hydrotherapy is a gentle cleansing of the large intestine using warm filtered temperature-controlled water, combined with abdominal massage. Colon Hydrotherapy is often referred to as colon irrigation and colon therapy.
What can I expect from Colon Hydrotherapy?
By cleansing the colon, the entire body should be able to function more efficiently. Colon therapy is not a cure, but a valuable procedure to help the body with digestive related conditions and indirectly improving over-all well being.
Does colon hydrotherapy remove all the good bacteria and deplete electrolytes from the colon?
No, colon hydrotherapy by removing stagnant waste actually assist the body in maintaining the correct balance of good bacteria. A qualified therapist will know if you may have low electrolytes during your first visit.
What can I expect from a Colon Hydrotherapy session?
You will first complete a client information form. Next, explanation of the colonic equipment is given. You are then shown how you will privately insert the rectal tube. The treatment begins after the client is comfortable. A series of water fills and releases stimulates the expansion and contraction of the muscular walls of the colon. The colon waste which is observed for abnormal formation, is seen through the equipment's viewing tube. The treatment lasts for approximately 60 minutes.
What should I do to prepare for my session?
Three to four days before your appointment make sure your water intake is adequate. Try to drink at least eight glasses of water per day. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits. Do not eat any beef or pork and only small servings of fish or poultry. Plan to eat as healthy as you can after the session. Refrain from eating two hours before your scheduled appointment. It is also a good idea to fast the day before or at least eat a vegetarian dinner the evening before your appointment.
What is the Relax/Release Technique?
A technique I developed over the years of working with my clients. Guiding and coaching you in a relaxation technique to help facilitate a better experience. We use reflexology during the treatment.
Is Colon Hydrotherapy painful?
Some cramping may occur during the session as the colon contracts to expel waste. Most people actually find the treatment pleasant and relaxing. The therapist will always be with you to assist during the process.
How will this procedure help my colon?
Besides removing toxic material, colon therapy helps to exercise the colon muscles and improve the balance of good bacteria. This helps to speed up the transit time and improve peristalsis. A full body detox program will led to improved nutritional absorption.
